He teaches math at CHS. Coach B spends his extra time paddle boarding, open water swimming, hiking, trail running, and camping. He is the father of two high schoolers who invest their time in theater and music.
Girls' Head Swim Coach, Brenda Wilson

Coach Brenda is also one of our counselors here at CHS, and is excited to watch our student athletes grow both in and out of the pool.
Head Dive Coach, Emily Gerdes
My name is Emily Gerdes. I was born and raised in central Minnesota and recently moved to Arizona to continue my education at Grand Canyon University, where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Growing up, I was always involved in sports, including gymnastics, dance, and diving. I started diving during high school and immediately fell in love with the sport, the community it brought me, and the person it helped me become. Coaching has been a passion of mine since a young age. I began volunteering as a gymnastics coach as early as I can remember, was a dance instructor during high school, and am now coaching gymnastics at Rising Sky Gymnastics in Chandler, AZ. This is my first year as head dive coach, and I am beyond excited to share my passion for the sport and support everyone in their growth as athletes and individuals!Assistant Coach, Ethan Fisher
Coach Ethan began swimming competitively at age 7 and grew up doing both club and high school swimming in Lawrence, KS. He then went on to swim at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN, where he was a captain his senior year. At one point in his life, he competed in distance and IM but now swims shorter events as a masters swimmer for Mesa Aquatics Club. He has coached on and off throughout the years and is honored to help continue the legacy of Coach Kerry Croswhite. Coach Ethan moved down to Arizona to get his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University and he currently works as a mechanical design engineer at Honeywell Aerospace.
Assistant Coach, Josh Lester
Coach Josh began coaching with CHS in 2021. Coach Josh has extensive experience as both a swimmer and a coach. He began swimming before he can remember and was soon labeled a "fish" by his parents. He began organized swimming with the Kiwana Piranhas in Tempe at age 6, attended Seton Catholic Prep, swimming varsity all four years and setting multiple school records. He joined the Navy and upon returning, began teaching swim lessons for the city of Chandler and coaching for Swim Neptune. Josh prides himself in creating a positive environment and patience with all swimmers.
