ACP Dress Code Purpose Statement
As part of our effort to prepare students for future success in their careers, the ACP dress code is designed to conform with common expectations for dress in a professional setting. These standards are reviewed annually to ensure they continue to align with that goal. Attire should be suitable for a professional, formal setting. Clothes should be clean, not have tears or rips, must completely cover undergarments, and must not distract from the learning environment. Short and long-sleeve undershirts/turtlenecks in solid black, purple, gray or white are permitted M - F.
Arizona College Preparatory Uniform Standards Monday-Thursday
Shirts
Approved ACP Polos (purple, black, gray, or white oxford shirts with ACP crest) are required.
Shirts MUST be tucked in throughout the day.
Rostered athletes may wear team uniform jerseys on game days. If jersey is sleeveless, a solid-colored (purple, white, black, or gray) under shirt must be worn.
Pants/Capris/Shorts
Approved black, khaki, or navy-blue pants or shorts are required. Shorts must touch the knee
No leggings or athletic shorts/pants allowed.
Skirts, Skorts
Approved navy, black, khaki, or plaid skirts and shorts are permitted (length MUST touch the knee – this included skater skirts).
Shoes & Accessories
Shoes must be worn at all times. All footwear (except sandals) must be worn with socks. Footwear must adhere securely at the heel and be tied properly. No flip flops.
Jewelry/Hair color/make up must not be a distraction to the learning environment
Hats, headscarves, sunglasses etc. should only be worn inside if worn for religious or health reasons
No pen or drawn on markings/writing on person or clothing
Outerwear
Jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies with ACP logo or college logos/emblems are permitted. If the outerwear does not have an ACP or college logo it must be solid purple, black, gray, navy or white without any logos or designs.
Arizona College Preparatory Uniform Standards – Fridays Only
Shirts
Approved ACP Polos (purple, black, gray, or white oxford shirs with ACP crest), ACP t-shirts, or college themed shirts (MUST clearly be college shirts) are required. ACP t-shirts or college themed shirts are allowed to be untucked on Fridays only. If wearing Uniform Polos, they MUST be tucked in throughout the day.

Approved black, khaki, navy blue or blue denim jeans or knee length (touch the knee) shorts.

Free Dress & Spirit Days
Attire must align with the spirit theme and still be within dress code guidelines
On Free Dress and Spirit Days, students may wear non-uniform attire that meet the professional dress standard and the following rules:
- May not include visuals, logos, or designs that are offensive or inappropriate in any way
- No crop tops, or any tops that may expose midriffs
- No tank tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps, or strapless
- No rip-style or visible undergarments allowed
- Shorts/skirts must touch the knee i.e., knee length or below the knee is acceptable
- No pajamas (unless a spirit day theme)
