  • The Drone Operator program will fall under ADE CTE approved Air Transportation program, 3-year program. More information about Years 2 & 3 will be coming in 2022-2023.

  • ATD100 Drone Operator 1 Chandler Only

    Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12    Course Length: Full Year, 1 Credit May be offered for Dual Credit
    Prerequisite: None

    Students will gain the technical knowledge and skills to build, program, and fly unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Learn the principles of aircraft design and performance, aircraft flight systems and controls, governmental rules and regulations pertaining to piloting aircraft. In addition, they will analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems used in constantly evolving drone technology.

    At Chandler High School, 11th grade students in this course may be eligible to participate in the IB Career-Related Program (IBCP).
