The Avant Stamp assessment measures language proficiency. The Stamp assessment is administered to two groups of students in CUSD:

• Students enrolled in Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs -  The Stamp test determines students' overall language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the target language, and allows the district to measure the overall effectiveness of the Dual Language Immersion program. 
• High school students - High School students may use the Stamp test to achieve the Seal of Biliteracy. For more information about the seal and its requirements, click here.

Students in grades K-6 who are enrolled in a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) class will take the Stamp 4SE assessment. DLI students in grades 7-8 will take Stamp 4S. For more information regarding this programmatic assessment, please consult our CUSD Balanced Assessment Framework for the Avant Stamp Assessment.

• Can Do Statements - This guide can help students conduct a quick self-evaluation to showcase what they are able to do and guide them to reaching higher levels of language proficiency.
