    Meet Mrs. Linda Faria

I have been teaching since 2000 and teaching at Hamilton since 2006. I love teaching English and I am excited about helping every student be successful in both reading and writing.  I have a master’s degree in education, extensive training in the traits of writing and curriculum design, and a great amount of excitement about the art of reading and writing.  I would love for all of my students to share in my excitement and look forward to a successful year.

As for me, I grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, and became an Arizona transplant when I decided to attend the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.  After receiving a BA in Journalism, I worked in dealer relations with American auto companies.  Since I enjoyed training employees so much, I thought I would try my hand at teaching, so I enrolled in a teacher certificate program at the University of Phoenix.  In 2002, I received my Master's in Education from Northern Arizona University while teaching junior high English in Phoenix.  My wonderful husband is also a teacher in the district and both of us are committed to making a difference by preparing our future generation for success.  I have three beautiful daughters that make me smile and laugh daily. I love to travel, read, and eat my husband's fine cooking.  Yes, I am very lucky - a husband that loves to cook!

I am readily available for any support or concerns that you may have with your student, and I prefer to be contacted via email, as phone calls are diverted to voicemail.  I look forward to a successful year!
