How to create an AP Classroom account: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c-CScIoD1T4piq4VJ_KG0WqTnLkD49ip/view?usp=sharingAccount code: Period 2 E3WAJ3An AP Spanish Literature course is comparable to a third-year college introduction to Hispanic literature course. It is based on the AP Required Reading List which consists of Peninsular and Latin American authors, and revolves around six course themes, which will be spiraled throughout the course of both semesters. The works on the list are of literary significance and represent various historical periods, literary movements, genres, geographic areas, and population groups within the Spanish-speaking world. The objective of the course is to help you interpret and analyze literature in Spanish with consideration of their cultural context. The course also helps students acquire a basic vocabulary of critical terms with which they will discuss and analyze the literature within their literary, historical and socio-cultural contexts. The course is taught chronologically in an effort to take into account the effect and influence of history and culture in literature. By studying the texts in chronological order the reader is also better able to appreciate the development and evolution of distinct genres within a national literature. A strong focus is lent to historical, cultural, political, and philosophical movements in regard to the definition of a literary period and the genres within. We study the texts as a product of their environment and as a physical manifestation of the predominant culture. The course is designed to cover the entire required reading list in one year and is held completely in Spanish. In addition to the historical and cultural focus, six course themes will provide the framework for all discussion. These include: Las sociedades en contacto, La construcción del género, El tiempo y el espacio,Las relaciones interpersonales, La dualidad del ser, and La creación literaria.Benefits of the course:- Earn credit or placement for qualifying AP Exam grades or Dual Credit with CGCC
