    Soccer Background:

I have been playing soccer since the age of five.  I attended Corona Del Sol high school in Tempe, Arizona from 1991-1995.  We won the first soccer state championship for the school in 1994.  I was honored with 5A player of the year, Gatorade player of the year, and other awards from my sophomore through my senior year.  I attended Grand Canyon University from 1996-2000.  We won a Division II national championship in 1996 and the team was placed in the GCU Hall of Fame.  I was placed on the first team All-Conference in 1998.  I attended an open tryout for the LA Galaxy shortly after my senior season.  I played with the Arizona Saguaros (semi-pro) team for one year, (1998-1999), and the Tucson Fireballs (1999-2000) and then played with the Arizona Thunder (professional indoor) for two seasons, 1999-2000.  I was drafted by the Sacramento Knights (professional indoor) when I realized that I wanted to start my teaching career before leaving for Sacramento.

Coaching Background:  I started off training at Scottsdale soccer club for a few seasons during college.  I have also coached youth teams on fundamental soccer skills.  I coached boys and girls soccer at Willis Jr. high for 12 years.  I've been coaching boys varsity soccer at Chandler High since 2011.  We hold a record of 143 wins, 76 losses, and 23 ties in 13 years with our coaching staff.  The greatest highlights were winning the 2014-2015 Division 1 State Championship (1st ever in Chandler High school history) and in 2021-2022, we were the 6A State Runner-Up.  I am also the director of coaching for East Valley NFSC/FC, a local soccer club in Mesa.

    Coaching Background:

This is my 17th year of coaching soccer at Chandler High School. My original role in the program focused on speed training and conditioning. That role later expanded to Varsity Assistant Coach. During my time at Chandler, I have had the opportunity to coach 10 Playoff teams, as well as play a pivotal role in developing the 2015 State Championship team. While the highlight of my soccer coaching career was definitely winning the 2015 state championship. The moment that stands out most was beating Brophy in the semi-final game that year. Overall, I have been fortunate to be involved with the Chandler Soccer Program and great coaches over the years, which have played a part in my understanding of the game and success as a coach.
