The Willis Core Values and Classroom Expectations

  • Our core values form a framework of expectations that guide the decisions we make (and the actions we take) as a school community. Each core value is critical to our ability to develop a school culture where all participants feel accepted and where we can accomplish our goal of empowering students, achieving great things in the classroom, and developing positive decision-making and leadership. We do not expect perfection. However, when a core value is not followed, we do expect individuals to accept responsibility and do everything in their power -- with the assistance of our community -- to make things right. Please take the time to review and thoroughly understand the Willis Core Values. Thank you!

    Common Classroom Expectations

As our core values indicate, at Willis, learning is a priority. While each classroom teacher may have slightly different rules and procedures, our school as adopted common expectations for student behavior on-campus and in classrooms. These expectations center on being safe, respectful, and responsible. This information will be reviewed with students so that they understand how they can play a role in their personal success and the success of our school community.
