Dear 6th Grader and Family,
Congratulations...you made it! Welcome to 6th grade and your last year at Fulton Elementary. Get ready to make your mark! I hope you are as excited as I am about getting this new school year started. I am thrilled to be your teacher, and look forward to a fun and productive year together. Be ready to bring your “A” game. As a 6th grade student at Fulton, you will have many expectations and responsibilities.
I want to share a few things about myself. I am originally from Iowa and I have four amazing adult children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and three adorable grand babies.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, Go Sun Devils! I have taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade and truly love coming to work every day. Teaching has forever been my heart, and I am passionate about the education of our youth. I value your input, and I thank you in advance for your support during this exciting school year.
In my classroom, I work hard to promote a tight-knit community that is encouraging, safe, fair, and fun. My goal is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I work hard all year long doing this by building a classroom that encourages risk-taking, thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students. I truly understand the enormity of my job and I relish the responsibility and the rewards. I also believe that parents, teachers, and students must work as a team to achieve our highest potential.
This year Fulton’s Meet the Teacher Night is on Monday, July 15th, beginning at 5:00pm, room C5. I am hoping you can make it as I would love to see you before the start of the school year! I have included a Suggested Supply List. You are welcome to bring in your supplies at Meet the Teacher and select your desk.
Enjoy the last of your summer vacation!
Sincerely,
Ms. Goodell
