I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT I DO and have been doing it for 35 years, this year.  During this time, I started as a floater and then moved my way up to assistant teacher, teacher, Master Teacher, Assistant Director, Director, and Director Mentor for Accreditation and Licensing.  I have been a director of licensed childcare facilities for the past 18 years and, in that stretch of time, successfully led a team through the accreditation process with the National Accreditation Commission.  (Our validation visit that was scheduled to take two days, only lasted two and a half hours with our validator noting our level of quality and organizaiton...not an easy feat and I am very proud of that acheivement.)
The irreplaceable and incredible experiences that I've been blessed to have with young children have allowed me to learn, grow and develop my skills and knowledge to be better for them.   My favorite thing about my job is creating an environment that supports children being allowed to be themselves; to make mistakes without fear of failure and to make choices without fear of criticism. It is of the utmost importance to me that children are heard and respected.  That they are allowed to experience, discover and explore at their own pace and with their own interests in a way that allows them to want to try and try, again and again.
In the past 3 decades, I have also earned my CDA credit hours through Central Arizona College;  my National Directors Credential through National Louis University, and completed the Director Leadership Program through the Professional Leadership Institute at Educare Arizona, and  have well over 610 ece training hours. I am currently working on a bachelor's in Family and Human Services from BYUI.
I am a Chandler native, a product of CUSD (Erie Elementary, Chandler Jr. High, Chandler High) and 2nd generation graduate of CHS, and the oldest of 3 girls.
I am also a very blessed mom to my beautiful, hard-working and intelligent daughter, Lacey. (3rd generation CHS Wolf!); and grandma to my absolutely, perfectly handsome, football-loving, Roblox-playing, 10-year-old soccer star of a grandson, King.

    What parents have to say:

“No one loves, respects and defends a child the way Heather does. It is, without a doubt, the one thing I admire the most about her.” ~Terri Garcia, mom to Jason, 9 and Amy, 6.

“Heather Morcomb was my family's main reason for choosing her day care. We noticed right away how much she cared for all "her" kids. Our daughter Savannah would always tell us that Ms. Heather came in to see her in her classroom that day and it seemed to brighten up her day. Any concerns we ever had which were few and far between, were addressed immediately by her. My family and I have grown quite fond of Heather over the 4 years that our daughter has been with her.” ~Michael Tracy, dad to Savannah, 5.

“I never knew another individual could love, protect, discipline, educate, or motivate my children on the same level as me, their own mother. Miss Heather’s professionalism mixed with her passion for children is the perfect recipe for any center.” Kristen Jones, mom to Noah-4, Natalie-3 and Nikolas-2
