Mrs. Michelle Good

Michelle Good grew up in Arizona, attending schools in the Southeast valley. 

Michelle has served as an Assistant Principal at Basha since 2003.  Prior to Basha High School, Michelle was Dean and Math teacher at Hamilton High School.

She received her Masters in Educational Leadership through Northern Arizona University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Education with emphasis in Math at Arizona State University. 

Her duties include Activities and Clubs, Fundraising, Graduation planning, 4.0 Awards Night, 12th grade discipline, CTE and Special Education department.

Michelle is married to Russ who is a Science teacher at Chandler High School and they have two sons.  Cody, who is married with two sons of his own, and Austin.  Both boys attended school in Chandler Unified School District and graduated from Basha High School.

Mr. JJ Chandler

Assistant Principal - Curriculum Instruction.

Mr. Chandler is entering his 20th year in education and 17th year in the Chandler Unified School District. This is his 10th year being involved in the administration side of education.

Mr. Chandler currently holds three degrees: a bachelor's degree from CSU Stanislaus, a master's degree in technology in education from National University, and a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. After Swimming at the University of Utah, Mr. Chandler coached swimming for 14 years. 

Mr. Chandler is excited to be here at Basha as one of our Assistant Principals! Go Bears!

Mr. Eric Magaña

Eric Magaña is an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director.  He came to Basha after spending two years as an administrator at Chandler High School. Mr. Magaña is humbled and excited to work with the Basha community. He believes that education is the engine that leads to opportunity. It is his goal to ensure that each and every student has an opportunity to succeed and receive a 21st century education. Having the view that a collaborative school culture is the key to empower students and teachers to become successful, Mr. Magaña fully embodies the aspect of a family environment on campus.

Mr. Magaña’s duties include 9th grade discipline, school maintenance, World Language, Physical Education, Social Studies, and of course Athletics.  Prior to getting into administration, Mr. Magaña was a special education, history teacher, and coach at McClintock, Higley, and Perry High School. As far as his history involved with athletics, Mr. Magaña was a varsity basketball coach for over 10 years, and was the AIA 4a-5a coach of the year in 2013. He has also served in various leadership roles during his career as well. In his personal life, Mr. Magaña is a huge Cubs and ASU fan. When he is not at school, he enjoys spending his time off with his wife and their three children. He enjoys playing video games, music, and cooking in his spare time. Mr. Magaña also enjoys classic cars, and has a 1968 Chevy Camaro.

Mrs. Stacie Cantrell

Stacia Cantrell was born and raised in Higley, Arizona.  After graduating from Gilbert High School, she ventured down to the University of Arizona, where she further developed her love for mathematics and teaching through her coursework and experiences working with students in Tucson.  She graduated with a degree in Mathematics and was hired as a math teacher at her alma mater.  After 10 years in the classroom and completing her master’s in educational leadership with NAU, she stepped into a new role as the Dean of Students at Highland High School.  Three years and one pandemic later, Stacia was selected to return to Gilbert High School as the Assistant Principal for Academics.  One of her favorite parts of this position was her role as the IB Head of School for the International Baccalaureate Program and watching the amazing accomplishments of the IB students. 

Stacia has a love of sunshine and the outdoors which developed when she was a child going to the lake with her family or the public pool to cool off in the summer.  Some of her favorite summer memories are life guarding for City of Chandler Aquatics.  Now she spends almost every holiday weekend camping with her family.  Stacia is married to Justin who is a junior high science teacher, and they have two children who attend Basha Accelerated Middle School.

Stacia is the Dean of Students and will work with the Accelerated Middle School Program at Basha High and will be responsible for 10th grade discipline.  She is excited to help students and teachers develop their lifelong love of learning.
