My Education and Professional Background

I graduated from Wheelock College in May 1977 with my bachelors' in Elementary Education and specialized in diverse learning. I taught in Early Intervention 0-3 in a clinical setting at Boston Children's Hospital and worked as part of a team under Dr. Brazelton's Medical Fellowship program. I then went on to teach in a private training facility in Danvers, Massachusetts. Upon completing 2 years as a trainer working with Easter Seal I took on a more traditional teaching assignment in the area of Special Education for Boston Public Schools. I moved to Arizona in 1989 and began my teaching career in Arizona at ACCEL School in Phoenix, formally know as LATCH. I received my Masters degree from University of Phoenix in May of 1998 and joined CUSD in July 1998 as a Special Education teacher at Rudy G. Bologna.

My Educational Philosophy

Our goal is to embrace all learning styles, facilitate growth and development. Encouraging students' to experience independence at their highest level possible.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that what happens in this classroom will affect your child’s future, their mindset. Your child’s time here will be well spent. He or she may even come home exhausted from all the thinking done during the day. I will make every minute count. With dedication, perseverance, and hard work, students will rise to the high expectations set. With your help, we can make it happen. A safe place for all those First Attempts In Learning. As we go along we know there will be those times we may not be able to directly help but . . . we will be able to . . . keep them company along the way and remember what matters most is . . . TO KEEP GOING.

Welcome to Bologna Preschool! My name is Madiha Sarwar and I am very excited to be teaching preschool and to be able to make learning fun and exciting for my students. As an educator, I believe that every child can be successful if there is a teacher who believes in them!

My Education and Professional Background

Degrees and Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. SEI Endorsement

My Educational Philosophy

We believe that children learn through experience and discovery. Our goal is to prepare children to enter kindergarten with a healthy self-concept and a positive attitude toward school and learning. This is accomplished by offering age appropriate curriculum designed to develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive abilities in our students. Since every child is unique, our preschools are designed to allow children to initiate activities that grow from personal interest and intentions.

We enjoy camping and four-wheeling together. I have been married to my husband Donovan for 25 years and we have two boys. Samuel who is recently married, and Cody who currently attends Chandler Gilbert Community college as a freshman.

My Education and Professional Background

I have been teaching since 1999 with all of my experience here at Bologna. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade and enjoy each one for different reasons. I received my Bachelors degree from Ottawa University in 1998, my Masters degree from NAU in 2002 in Curriculum and Instruction and a 2nd Masters in Educational Leadership in. 2015. I also have a reading endorsement, SEI endorsement, and an early childhood endorsement. I enjoy learning and hope to model life long learning for my children, as well as yours.

My Educational Philosophy

Education is a team effort between school and family. It takes a village to raise a child, if we work together they can go far.
