The NCAA and NAIA college athletic divisions have very specific rules that all collegebound student-athletes must comply with in order to participate in college athletics at the Division I and Division II level. The NCAA website is: NCAA.org and the NAIA website is: http://www.naia.org.The NAIA and NCAA Eligibility Center are academic watchdogs for college athletics. Their job is to make sure that student-athletes entering college have adhered to the academic, amateurism, and recruiting rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are explained in detail at http://playnaia.org and http://www.eligibilitycenter.orgTo Compete at the NJCAA (junior college) level a student doesn't need to meet specific rules for enrollment and acceptance of scholarships, but there are rules about transferrability of coursework and maintaining eligibility while attending.
