Finals are upon us! You must be here on the final days--there are no early finals. If you must be absent on the final day, a parent must call in to excuse you. Then, the teacher will issue a failing grade and post. When we come back January 7th--you have 2 weeks from that time to speak with your teacher and schedule the make-up exam. It is imperative that you do not wait for the teacher to speak with you as they have posted and are moving on to the semester 2 curriculum. Study the review packets well that you will receive from the teachers, go in for additional tutoring as needed. Quarter 1 percentage is 40%, quarter 2 percentage is 40%, and the final is 20%. Your transcript will be posted before January 7th--check it out in your portal to make sure you agree with all the grades posted. This will be your fifth semester reported to the colleges, so it truly does matter. We wish you great success!
The first quarter grade reports are now in Infinite Campus. Speak to your teachers with any concerns. Speak to your teacher with any concerns you have.
Start this year off to a great beginning and commit to perfect attendance and turning in your HW on time! Leave your cell phone at home and limit your social media time--you will be happier:)
Your Junior Units were on August 21 and August 22 in the auditorium. If you do not have an in-person English class, you were asked to make an effort to come to one of our sessions. The PowerPoint is here. We provide a lot of information during this session, so please view each slide.
Constant news:
All juniors will take the Civics exam this year through your American Arizona History class. Mr. Unger is the coordinator. Here is a link to a practice exam:

As soon as you struggle in any class, ask your teacher when their tutor times are. Don't wait until you are feeling lost before you reach out. You should look at your grades every Wednesday in Infinite Campus. If you see a discrepancy, talk to your teacher immediately. Every Friday we want you to feel safe with the grade you are earning and viewing in IC.
Get involved and be your best you this year! It is a great time to be a bear!
