About
Randel...
I am so excited to be part of the Andersen Junior High School family! The students, families, and staff at AJHS are what drive me everyday and I hope to make a positive impact in their lives just as they have done in mine. My office is always open, please stop by anytime.
My Education and Professional Background
2019-2020 will be my first year as the Assistant Principal / Athletic Director at Andersen Junior High School. Last year I served the Andersen community as Dean of Students. I have previously taught in CUSD at Santan Junior High School and Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School. Prior to moving to Chandler, I taught 2nd and 5th grade in Page Unified School District for five years. I was also the Varsity Baseball Coach at Page High School and received Division 3 Section 1 Coach of the Year honors as well as Navajo Times Coach of the Year in 2014.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all students have the ability to learn and grow. I believe in setting high standards for everyone, starting with myself. I also believe in teaching the whole child and providing opportunities for them to grow in the classroom and community. All students are capable of things we cannot even imagine today, and I can't wait to see how they shape our city, state, country, and world in the future. Go Jags!
