    Welcome Tarwater 6th Grade students and families!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University.  I have spent the past four years teaching 7th/8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at a junior high school within CUSD.  Before my time teaching 7th/8th grade, I spent several years substitute teaching at grade levels ranging from K-12.  

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is that each student should be challenged within their range of ability. The classroom should be a safe and supportive community that fosters academic as well as social/emotional learning, creativity, and curiosity.
