    Welcome!

    Welcome families! I am excited to have you and your child in my class! We have so much in first grade and I am so excited to share my love of teaching with your child!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my degree in Elementary Education from Moorhead State University in 2000 with a concentration in health/PE/coaching. In 2006, I graduated with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University. I also have my Sheltered English Immersion and Early Childhood Endorsements. I recently completed my Reading Expert Certification with a focus in Reading and Dyslexia.  I have taught K-5 in South Dakota, Florida and Arizona (but primary grades are my favorite!). I began teaching in 2000 and I have been teaching at Basha Elementary since 2003, with a short break from 2016-2018, when I taught in Florida.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that education is a partnership built between parents and teachers. When we work together as a team, we can create an environment that is so rich and full of learning for a child.
