About
Vivian...
Welcome! I am Mr. Vivian. When I am not dedicating time to helping my students get on track towards graduation goals, I love spending time with my family. Although with five kids and a crazy pug, sometimes school is the easiest place to be. I was born in Phoenix and have spent most of my life in Arizona-a true desert rat. I believe I have a lot in common with the young men and women that come to Chief Hill and that suits me well to develop real relationships that inspire learning.
My Education and Professional Background
Mr. Vivian attended the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education at Arizona State University. He graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education-Mathematics. This will be his 12th year teaching and 5th year at Chief Hill Learning Academy.
My Educational Philosophy
I am a math teacher, but life isn’t all about math. I will teach my students much more than solving equations. Logic, work ethic, communication, confidence, perseverance, accountability, and humility are some of the applicable skills I want my students to take away from my classroom.
