    Overview:

    At ACP Middle School, students are introduced to a rigorous, college-prep curriculum in a small academic setting, coupled with personalized instruction, teacher support, high academic standards, and strict discipline.  Our goal is to set a foundation for our students' academic and personal success in the classroom and in their professional lives.

    6th grade:

    6th grade at ACP Middle School provides for a more fluid and seamless transition to the junior high experience. The students move from class to class as they receive quality instruction from teachers who are highly qualified in their specific content areas. All 6th graders take the Communications course in addition to the following core classes: Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. 6th grade students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of elective choices as part of the transitional experience including: PE, Yoga, Art, Choir, Band, & Orchestra.

    7th & 8th grades:

    All 7th & 8th grade students at ACP are enrolled in honors level courses, or higher grade level courses. Their core required courses are: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, & Spanish. 7th & 8th grade electives include: PE, Yoga, Art, Project Lead the Way, Computer Science Discoveries, Band, Choir, Student Council, Orchestra, Yearbook*, Digital Media, and Student Aide*.

    Homework

    Homework should be expected each night with a focus on practicing skills taught in class. Homework expectations and time commitment will often exceed district policy for Junior High.
