    Hola! Teaching Spanish is one of my passions, so I look forward to connecting and working with you this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    In 1999, I graduated from Bridgewater State College with a B.S. in Elementary Education, double-majoring in Spanish. As part of my Spanish major, I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile for one semester.  A few years later, I earned a Master's degree in Teaching with Internet Technology from Cambridge College.

    I taught Exploratory Languages and Spanish at Galvin Middle School in Canton, MA for five years before moving to Arizona in 2004.  Since 2004, I have been teaching Spanish at CUSD, first at Basha High School, later at Chandler High School, and now Chandler Online Academy!

    My Educational Philosophy

    Learning is the journey not a destination. Being a self-starter, a great communicator, persevering when assignments challenge you, and having the patience to put in the work and effort needed to process new information are vital skills on that journey. Perfection does not exist. We grow from our mistakes, but only when we work with intention. My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable enough to be themselves, ask questions and dialog with me about their learning. I look forward to learning with you!
