    Welcome!

    My name is Melissa Trafficante and I am thrilled to begin another fantastic school year. I feel so lucky to be a music teacher. It is my dream job. I live in Gilbert with my husband and our 2 wonderful children (they are my "bonus kids"), David and Lily. We also have 3 crazy and loveable dogs. I love to sing, create, read, and travel. I know this will be a truly wonderful school year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from ASU with a degree in vocal performance in 2003. Soon after, I got my baccalaureate teaching certification for music education from ASU. I began teaching for CUSD in 2006. I have been a music teacher (and choir director) at Ryan Elementary, Carlson Elementary, Bologna Elementary, and Hull Elementary.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe music education should be all about the joy of music. Music is something that enriches all of our lives and is so important. Through music we learn collaboration, creativity, teamwork, discipline, and JOY.
