    Welcome!

    Welcome to Honors Biology at ACP High School. This course recognizes the unique attributes of the individual student and provides a challenging curriculum incorporating enrichment, acceleration, and differentiation of our district standards. This hands-on, cooperative learning science class incorporates critical thinking skills and problem-based learning, in addition to the basic biology curriculum.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been in education since 2001. Throughout my years of experience, I have had the opportunity to teach high school biology, as well as honors and gifted science to middle school students. I have also taught the course Freshman Orientation at Oklahoma State University as well as teaching the lab practicals for Human Anatomy course at the University of Oregon. 

    I have my Masters of Arts in Teaching (with a focus on Secondary Science and Biology) from Pacific University, and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology from the University of Oregon.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I firmly believe that every student can learn and have fun while doing it!!! I strive to create a structured atmosphere full of inquiry and active student engagement in order to help my young learners grow as students.
