Are you ready for 7th grade science?? There is so much to learn, understand, and explore! I am so excited to work with all my students as they begin their journey in science in Junior High and leading into High School!
My Education and Professional Background
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences in 2001 and from there worked for several different companies before deciding to open my own business. After 10 years I decided to transition out of small business and in the wonderful world of teaching! I entered the ASU teacher program and received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2018 and immediately began teaching at Willis!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe strongly in a growth mindset. Our minds are not fixed or limited in what we can learn, understand, and master. This is what draws me to science as well. Great discoveries and new perspectives come from people of all backgrounds and experience levels. We just need to dive into our passions and curiosities and see where they sometimes take us!
