    Welcome to my Honors Pre-Algebra/ Algebra One class here at Casteel High School! I have such a large passion for mathematics and teaching. I have worked with 7th and 8th graders for six years and am looking forward to you being a part of my classroom.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I was born and raised in Gilbert, AZ and graduated from Perry High School. I then moved to Flagstaff, AZ to attend Northern Arizona University. Go Lumberjacks! I graduated from NAU with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education with a concentration in mathematics and a minor in Secondary Mathematics. Plans for getting my Masters in Administration are in the works.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is something I truly standby. I believe every student is unique and requires their own type of learning style to help them grow inside and outside of the classroom. It is my desire to create a classroom environment that every one of my students feels comfortable in. It is crucial for my students to feel safe to take risks and make mistakes in the classroom. It is the mistakes we learn from most after all.
