Hello, my name is Margie Schlechty. I began teaching Pre-K at Sanborn Elementary in 2020. However, I am an experienced six-year preschool teacher, coming from the Wilson Head Start program in Phoenix. For years, I taught three and four-year-old children in my own home, preparing them for kindergarten. I graduated in 2011, from Northern Arizona University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, received several endorsements in Early Childhood Education, as well as English Instruction (SEI). By letting children interact by themselves, it lets me see how they are exploring their environment. We will do many STEM projects, hands-on learning, as well as focus on fundamental academic skills. One of my strongest beliefs is that children learn from their environment. We will be outside exploring nature as well as how to socially interact with each other through stories, singing and dancing. This is the beginning for your child to start their love for learning.
