    Welcome to Mrs. Donnellan’s class! You can call me Mrs. D. I am so excited to start the year as your teacher and can’t wait to see all of your amazing faces in class.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a native Arizonan and graduated from ASU in 1997 with a Bachelor's in Special Education. I have been teaching in the private sector and the public schools for the past 23 years. This will be my fourth year here at Andersen Elementary. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe learning can be obtained in numerous ways. One child’s path to a goal may be different than another child’s path to the same goal. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and it is my responsibility to help each child foster his/her strengths and tackle his/her weaknesses. I feel creating a welcoming space for learning is so important. As an elementary teacher, I am very aware that I am defining the school experience for my students. I work hard to make that experience a positive, nurturing one. I want each student to be excited to come to class every day.
