    Welcome to second grade! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. There is so much to learn and do in second grade, and I am thrilled to be part of your journey.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received both my bachelor and master's degree from ASU. I have had the privilege of teaching second grade since 1998. I started in the Gilbert District and moved to CTA Freedom in 2006.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Because I have always loved learning, I want to instill that same love of learning in my students. I want them to realize that learning takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. I want them to learn to never be afraid to make mistakes, because some of the greatest learning takes place when mistakes are made. I want the classroom to be a place of refuge where students can learn from each other with complete acceptance.
