Welcome!

Welcome to first grade! I am honored to continue to be part of your child's academic journey. I am truly looking forward to working with you and your child. I love watching them grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Cheers to growth mindsets and lots of learning!

My Education and Professional Background

I have been teaching since 2008; I have taught first, second, third, and fourth grade. I graduated with my bachelor's in Elementary Education from ASU, Summa Cum Laude. In December of 2011, I completed my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU. I am a native to Arizona and am proud to say I am a product of Chandler Public Schools. I was blessed to have many inspirational teachers growing up and they sparked my love of helping people.

My Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy is centered on being a supportive, kind, and guiding teacher. Building a partnership with each child and their family is the key to educational success. I look forward to creating those lasting bonds and a safe learning space. The virtual experience is still a great way to connect and learning should reach the whole child. Our school journey is a social, emotional, academic, and enjoyable experience.

Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Garrison, and I am looking forward to sharing this school year with both my students and parents. I am excited about the many wonderful days of learning that we have ahead of us in our first grade classroom! I am anxious to get to know you, and you are probably just as anxious to get to know me. I love to read, cook, and travel with my family. My husband and I have an amazing son named Max and two cute dogs named Frank and Beans.

My Education and Professional Background

I am a graduate of the College of Education at Arizona State University, and I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University. I have endorsements in both reading and English Language Instruction. I have been teaching first grade since 1999. Spalding is very near and dear to my heart, so I chose to become a Spalding Certified Teacher.

My Educational Philosophy

The reason I chose to become a teacher is because education has always been an important part of my life. I come from a family of educators and have grown up watching my family members, especially my mother, positively influence the lives of hundreds of children. I knew from the moment I set foot into my mother's classroom that I would devote my life to children. My goal is to create a community of lifelong learners who will always value the importance of education.

Welcome!

Welcome to Elementary Connect where best teaching practices and technology are integrated daily to create educational experiences for students that are challenging, enriching and extend their academic abilities.

My Education and Professional Background

I have been a CUSD teacher for twenty six years with twenty five of them at Jacobson Elementary School. My five years in second, seventeen in fourth have definitely prepared me for making the jump to sixth grade these last four years. I am so excited to be remain a part of this newest CUSD adventure and remain online teaching 6th graders with a fabulous staff and team. My Bachelors Degree is from the University of Toledo in Ohio and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction is from NAU.

My Educational Philosophy

Students grow to understand what it means to take care of their education, through the daily practice of being attentive to their learning. This requires taking risks, communicating well to others and learning from their mistakes to build self esteem and confidence in their new acquired skills and abilities over a course of time. It is not about what they do not know, but what they do not know "yet" and know success will come as they cope with their mistakes, try again, and sometimes fail. As a teacher I show and guide students through these challenges so that they want to continue to try as they put forth the effort, progress and attitude while working toward their goals. In doing this students succeed by their own pride and purpose because it matters to them. This is the attitude I want student to move forward with after spending their 6th grade year with me.

Welcome!

Hi! My name is Christine Rabe (my last name rhymes with babe) and I am looking forward to sharing this school year with all of you! I am so excited about the many wonderful days of learning and growing we have ahead of us in our Third Grade classroom! Let's go!!!

My Education and Professional Background

I first went to college at Brigham Young University and got my Bachelor's Degree in Art History with a Minor Degree in German! I have also received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I've been teaching First Grade, Fourth Grade and now Third Grade since 2010 and am so excited to be a part of Elementary Connect!

My Educational Philosophy

Mrs. Judy Marcus changed my life. She introduced me to a passion I didn't even know I had. I had only one class with her, AP Art History, my Senior year of high school, but she changed the course of my life. What made Mrs. Marcus different from all the rest of my teachers? The answer is simple.....she INSPIRED me! Inspiration, motivation, and meaningful learning. If I can focus on and achieve these three goals as I teach each year, I will e successful.

Hello Hornets and welcome to our PE website. I am super excited to be teaching PE to all of you this school year. Look forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of you! Let's make it an AMAZING year!!

My Education and Professional Background

Bachelors in Physical Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville Masters in Adapted Physical Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that all children, no matter their ability, should be made to feel they are important and they matter. I have true compassion for my students and I strive to provide a safe space for all to learn and grow -- a space that allows them to be comfortable in trying new things and letting them know it's okay to make mistakes. My students are encouraged to work hard, and are challenged daily to be the best they can be. I am very passionate about my profession and am always looking to grow in my teaching. My students inspire me daily to want to be the best teacher and person I can be for them. I am hopeful that through the lessons I teach, my students will become active individuals and lifelong lovers of exercise. But most importantly, I hope that through my teaching, my students will learn what it means to be a person of character, that making mistakes is part of the learning process, and persevering through all challenges will only help them to become stronger individuals.
