    Welcome!

    Welcome to 8th grade! My name is Kyle Morris, and I am excited to be your student’s 8th grade Social Studies teacher this year. I am married to my lovely wife Linda, and we have two beautiful young girls named Kiana and Ashlyn. Kiana attends ASU, and Ashlyn will be attending NAU this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    As for a little background information, I started my career in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I gained experience teaching 4th and 5th grade, and I was a Technology Coordinator and Title I Writing Specialist. Since moving to Arizona in 2001, I’ve taught the majority of my years in 6th grade with two years in 5th and one in 3rd. This is my third year at Santan Junior High.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe building a community in the classroom that is positive, supportive, encouraging, and respectful is essential in fostering an environment that promotes deeper learning and engagement. As your child’s Social Studies teacher, I hope to instill a love for learning, in addition to helping students take ownership in their education and assisting them with the development of skills that prepare them for high school and beyond.
