    Welcome!

    Hello, my name is Jahlah Alton. I am so excited to be a part of the WGA community. I was born and raised in New Mexico. My family moved to the great state of Arizona 17 years ago. We love the weather, yes, even the heat! I love spending time with my family, hiking, working out, reading, and watching movies. My new hobby is paddle boarding. I love being outside!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have worked in education for the past 13 years. The first 4 years, I was a paraeducator in a variety of educational settings. The last 9 years, I have been a resource teacher at the elementary level. I graduated from Northern Arizona with dual certification elementary and special education. Last year, I finished my training and am now a  Certified Wilson Practioner.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My classroom vision is to work collaboratively with your child's general education teacher to design and target the instructional and/or behavioral needs of each student. Every child can learn. How they learn can be a puzzle; one that is uniquely theirs. I love engaging a child where they are at and watching them grow into their potential. I fundamentally believe that a partnership between school and home is vital to building a successful student. Teamwork makes the dream work!
