    Welcome!

    I am the proud Principal at Weinberg Gifted Academy; it is with great honor that I can work with our wonderful WildCAT community. I feel very fortunate to work alongside such supportive and innovative teachers and staff. I was born and raised in Chandler. I have a beautiful, blended family with six adult children. I enjoy outdoor adventures, discovering new places, sampling the delicious cuisine of the valley, and hanging out with all our children.

    My Education and Professional Background

    This is my 24th year in education, starting as a classroom teacher in Chandler in third and fifth grade, as well as an adjunct faculty member for ASU.  I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from ASU, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU and a master's degree in Educational Administration from GCU. Most recently I have spent my last 8 years in administration in elementary education.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I love watching students grow in their learning and aim to make them feel welcome and safe at our school. I strive to create a positive environment where students can feel a sense of community and pride walking through the door each and every day. I believe we all should stay as curious learners and WGA provides this environment for students. Exceptional and twice exceptional students not only have different paces in their social/emotional needs and asynchronous development but they also need their instruction in a rigorous, challenging, and supportive learning environment.

    I look forward to helping students at WGA learn, grow, and enjoy their educational experience while making great memories.
