    Welcome!

    Hey 4th grade family! I'm honored to teach at Tarwater and love this age. 4th grade is where students really achieve independence, form the ability to problem solve, and become their own person. It's such a joy to see students become the best versions of themselves by the end of the year. I live in Chandler with my Grammy and my Whoodle, Piper. I love reading, baking, watching movies, hiking, crafting, walking, and traveling.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have taught elementary for four years, this year being my 5th.  I have spent time in both 4th grade and 6th grade, but absolutely love where I'm at in 4th.  I've wanted to be a teacher since high school when I was working after school day care.  I graduated with my bachelor of science degree from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and completed my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Western Governors University. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My classroom is built on three things: advocacy, collaboration, and personal relationships. I think it's important for our class to feel like a second family. I strive to help learners speak up for themselves, learn to work together, and show authentic care for each other and themselves. School should be safe, loving, and open for kids to be their best selves!
