    Hi, my name is Alayna Maduell and I love being part of the Sanborn Team!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am originally from Washington State.My love for teaching started in high school where I helped out in a Resource Room. I loved working with smaller groups and wanted to help kids know that they can be sucessful in school and may just be a different path to getting there.  I graduated in 2018 from Northern Arizona University with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am looking forward to another year at Sanborn!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that all students, no matter what their previous educational background is are able to learn and grow. It is not just about the big moments but the little and small steps when progressing toward a new goal. It takes dedicated, empathetic and compassionate teachers to help students grow in their learning and be independent people throughout their lives.
