Welcome to fourth grade! I am so excited to be in my third year at Riggs. We are going to have a great year together!
My Education and Professional Background
This is my twelfth year teaching! I have previously taught K-12 however I keep coming back to the upper elementary grades! I received my Master's in Special Education with dual Elementary and Special Education credentials from ASU in 2015. I hold an Arizona teaching credential for K-8 General Education, K-12 Special Education and 9-12 English.
This will be my third year at Riggs and my fourth year teaching fourth grade.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that in a classroom, community and belonging are the first priority. I believe that all students should have access to the curriculum in a way that both challenges them and meets their needs. I aim to create an environment where there is a strong partnership between home and school and to provide every educational opportunity I can for them.
