    Welcome!

    My name is Caleb Davis, and I am in my second year teaching at Carlson Elementary! I am a performing musician who has been teaching music privately for over fifteen years. I enjoy teaching elementary music and sharing my passion for all things musical with my students!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my bachelors degree in music performance from the University Of Massachusetts, Amherst. I received my Master's Degree at Arizona State University as a teaching assistant for the jazz department. I have been performing professionally on drum-set and teaching privately for over fifteen years. In 2015 I was the recipient of a "Best Performance By An Undergraduate" award from Downbeat magazine. During my time in academia and as a gigging musician, I have worked in schools in both Massachusetts and Arizona. Teaching elementary music has been my favorite!   

    My Educational Philosophy

    Dedicated learners are destined to become artists, listeners, music lovers and performers. Music encourages us to be more open minded and also gives us the courage to try new things. I encourage my students try and struggle, and to learn that success is determined by effort and the joy that comes with creating.
