    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a native of Arizona, born and raised in Show Low where I attended grades K-12. I moved to the Valley of the Sun to continue college in computer art and animation, and later received a graduate degree in Elementary Education. Recognized for my technology strengths, I taught technology classes for over 15 years before choosing to move into school leadership. I completed a second graduate degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Certificate of School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School Online. I am excited to begin my leadership journey with our Bobcat families as the dean of students at Basha Elementary.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Failure is not an option; it is a necessity! Challenge leads to growth and learning. Through those challenges there is going to be moments of failure and vulnerability. It is my philosophy that this is where we maximize learning. Through consistent and patient guidance and modeling we allow students to safely practice and become masters of their learning.
