    Welcome to Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary! Home of the Huskies! I look forward to building relationships with our students, staff, and families.
    I am an Arizona native and live in Chandler along with my family. My son is a past CUSD student. Part of my mission here at Hartford is to work in partnership with you to provide your child with the best possible educational opportunities that will lead to their ability to excel in a global community.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from ASU with my undergraduate degree and received both my master's degree and my Administration Certification from NAU.  I have been working in education since 1994 and have taught Kinder, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades.  I have been a part of  the Chandler Unified District since 2001.  

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe we can all learn new things and I strive to learn every year along with your child. I have a love of learning and one of my goals is to share a love of learning with everyone I encounter. I want to create an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and committed to working with their full effort. Each day brings a new beginning with new challenges and success to celebrate.
