    Welcome!

    I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year in 5th grade at CTA Freedom! I am an Arizona native and have lived in Gilbert for the past 22 years. I have three grown children who all attended school in Gilbert, and I am happy to be working in Chandler Unified School District this year. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, and spending time with my family and 4 dogs!

    My Education and Professional Background

    This is my 21st year in education!  I began teaching as a 4th grade dual language teacher in Tucson, Arizona in 1996.  Over the years I have taught almost every grade level in the Elementary setting as well as English, Spanish, and Social Studies at the Middle school level. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Elementary Education and I have an M.A. from Northern Arizona University in English.  I have both bilingual and middle school endorsements. I am excited to join the CTA Freedom Family this year!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe we are all lifelong learners and that every child can succeed. It is my job to welcome your child to my classroom everyday to inspire and motivate through enriching educational experiences and opportunities to explore the world in a traditional classroom setting. It is my hope that students leave my classroom with a solid foundation of basic skills and the capacity to think critically about the world around them.
