    My Education and Professional Background

Having attended the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) with a focus on Secondary Education (English Content Area). Graduating with the prestigious distinction of Summa Cum Laude, , I promptly began my teaching journey, ensuring compliance with Arizona's State requirements for highly qualified educators and obtaining an SEI endorsement. Prior to my current position at Arizona College Prep High School, I gained valuable experience teaching at several schools within the Tempe Union High School District.

    My Educational Philosophy

I firmly believe that ALL students possess the capacity to learn and grow, regardless of their starting point. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a growth mindset in my students, encouraging them to view challenges as opportunities for learning and to embrace mistakes as essential to the learning process. In my classroom, I prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes autonomy, creativity, and risk-taking. By establishing a safe and nurturing space for students to explore new ideas, ask questions, and make mistakes, I help cultivate a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.

To achieve this, I take a student-centered approach to teaching, focusing on the unique needs, interests, and abilities of each individual student. I strive to create a differentiated learning experience that empowers all students to reach their maximum potential.

As a teacher, my ultimate goal is to help students develop the critical thinking skills, effective communication, and lifelong passion for learning necessary to thrive in all aspects of their lives. By fostering resilience, self-reflection, and a growth mindset in my students, I empower them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
