    My Educational Philosophy

    The study of music has an invaluable benefit that is hard to measure, but is extremely important. Music is a subject requiring the kind of critical and analytical thinking that is transferable to many other disciplines. My style of teaching involves an interdisciplinary approach with the challenge for students to apply conceptual knowledge learned in the field of music to all areas of study, and vice versa. My goal is to create an enjoyable environment, which fosters students’ ability to perform and communicate through music at the highest possible level.
