    My Education and Professional Background

    I have my certificate in Secondary Education (k-12). I taught for three years at a k-8 school in Phoenix.

    I grew up in the Chandler District and I must say it is an honor to be back starting my fourth year as an Art Teacher. I studied animation for a year and a half at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and finished my education here at ASU. I earned my Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Education. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    As an educator, my goal is to create a community environment where students aren't afraid to try new techniques and apply them to their own art. I believe that it's important that students trust in themselves and in their ability to learn and grow, because life is all about growing and it never stops.
    Art is magical, because not only does it require creativity but it provides healing, it provides a safe space to be yourself, it builds critical thinking and it gives you insight on another perspective that maybe you've never thought or seen before.

    Everyone is an artist in their own way and sees the world a bit differently.
