    My Education and Professional Background

    I obtained my bachelors in Psychology from Briar Cliff University. I began my career working with children and families involved in Child Protective Services. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the complexities of family dynamics and the challenges faced by at-risk children and their families. With this background, I went on to pursue an Ed.S. in School Psychology from the University of South Dakota in hopes of providing more preventative supports to children and families. I began working as a school psychologist 11 years ago and have worked with students spanning from preschool through high school. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy centers around the fundamental belief that every child is unique, and every family possesses its own set of strengths. I am a firm advocate for recognizing and celebrating these individual strengths, as they form the cornerstone of a child's development and overall well-being. I believe it is crucial to foster an environment where every child feels valued and understood, not only for their challenges but also for their abilities and potential. By embracing and nurturing the unique qualities and strengths of each child and their family, I believe we can create an inclusive and equitable educational environment where all children have the chance to reach their full potential.
