    Welcome!

    I'm Mrs. Harder and I'm thrilled to be teaching at Carlson Elementary. My family and I are transplants from Washington State and love living and playing in the Arizona sun. My husband and I have two grown children and two very loved dogs. We enjoy camping, home improvement projects, and spending time doing anything outside. I love to garden, read and paint.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University. A Masters degree in Elementary Education from NAU. I have a minor degree in Educational Technology from NAU. I studied Sign Language for two years at Phoenix College. I am ESL endorsed and Spalding trained. I am a Thinking Maps and Write from the Beginning Teacher Trainer.

    My Educational Philosophy

    The motto in my classroom is 'Believe in Yourself' and I truly believe that all students are capable of personal success. Along with my guidance and support, my students build self-esteem and confidence while achieving their learning goals. I love watching my students learn and learning along with them. I am passionate about teaching and learning new things and hope to ignite the passion for learning in my students.
