    Welcome!

    I am thrilled to be a reading specialist at Bologna Elementary! I am an Arizona native. I have a wonderful husband named Ben. We have 2 kids, Dylan is in flight school and Breanna attends GCU. I am so excited for a year full of learning and new adventures. It is going to be a GREAT year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from ASU. I received my Masters in Reading Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I also have a Reading Endorsement, Early Childhood Endorsement, English Language Learner Endorsement, and Library Media Specialist Endorsement. I am a lifelong learner who is dedicated to education! I started teaching in 2002. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child can be successful. Each child is unique and gifted and brings something special to the classroom and community. I aim to inspire, support, and encourage your student to learn to their fullest potential. I will provide a safe environment that encourages students to take risks and will promote respect, responsibility, and kindness. I look forward to partnering with your family to provide the best experience for your child.
