    Welcome!

    Welcome to 2nd grade! I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. We have an abundance of things to learn and I plan on making sure we have fun and make memories while doing it! I look forward to the educational journey we will be taking with your child this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated in 2007 from Arizona State University (Go Devils!) with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2008, I started teaching 2nd grade at Navarrete and have continued to enjoy it every year since then. After a few years of teaching, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I went to Grand Canyon University and graduated in 2014 with a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Technology.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal as your child's teacher is to create a safe, positive, and fun learning environment. I know that every child learns differently and it is my job to tap into their interests and skill levels to help ensure success. I believe that children not only learn from their teacher, but the knowledge that their peers have to offer them as well. I am very enthusiastic and absolutely love my job as a teacher. My hope is that your child leaves my classroom with a desire to become a lifelong learner.
