    Welcome!

    Gifted students require a special type of education where they are challenged, taught to use their intelligence in an effective manner, and exposed to new ideas. I have devoted my teaching career to furthering these goals by tailoring the teaching of reading and writing to the unique audience of gifted children.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a graduate of the College of Staten Island where I earned my Bachelor of History. I also hold two Master's Degrees, one in School Administration from Northern Arizona State University and the other in Education from Arizona State University. I've been teaching Language Arts since 1999 and have taught in New York, Scottsdale, and Chandler. I have been teaching gifted students since 2007.

    My Educational Philosophy

    In my classroom students will be presented with challenging problems and learn how to strategically think about them as well as articulate their ideas in powerful language. They will often read dense, abstract text and learn how to interpret, understand, and make connections between their world and the written page. I will teach your students everything I know about reading, writing, and thinking. I will expose them to new ideas, challenge them daily, and foster a supportive environment to help them grow.
