    Our School

    Since opening in the fall of 2007 with approximately 800 students, Perry has become a prime destination for students from around the east valley, with a student body number that consistently averages 2,500 yearly. Centered around Academics, Athletics and Activities, we are a well-rounded and active community of learners. Students have a wide variety of subjects and courses to choose from, including Career and Technical Education, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment to Drawing/Painting, Psychology and Dance. We have 90+ student-led clubs on campus yearly, with many of them being community or service driven. Others are just plain FUN! Our men’s/women’s athletic teams are consistently in the conversation for state championships and often recognized not only for their endeavors on the field or court, but in the classroom as well.

     

    Recognized by the state as an excelling school since its inception, Perry distinguishes itself by providing an enriched environment where students can develop Pride in themselves, their school, and their community; where they can demonstrate Progress in their ability to think critically in a technologically advanced society; and where they can realize their Purpose as responsible citizens.

    Qualified for State Men’s: Cross Country, Football, Golf, Swim & Dive, Basketball (State Open Champions), Soccer (State Champions), Wrestling, Baseball, Track & Field, Tennis, Volleyball

    Qualified for State Women’s: Badminton, Cross Country, Golf, Swim & Dive, Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling, Tennis, Pom (Jazz State Champions), Cheer (Show Cheer and Game Day State Runner Up), Volleyball (State Runner Up), Softball, Track and Field

    FINE ARTS: The Arizona State Seal of Arts Proficiency, 37 artists earned a state seal, and 2 artists earned a double seal. Honors Societies for the various Fine Art Programs. NHSDA- National Honors Society for Dance Arts. TRI-M- Music Honor Society. ITS- International Thespian Society. NAHS- National Art Honors Society for Art- Sculpture, Photo and Art Perry. 55 students were inducted into a Fine Arts Honors Chapter.

    Perry Band: Tri-M collectively engaged in 340 hours of community service. The Puma Regiment earned the AzMBA 2A State Championship. Six Band students successfully auditioned for the Southwest Regional Honor Band. The Symphonic Band qualified for and gave an excellent performance at the ABODA State Festival. A Jazz Band member was recognized with a Notable Soloist Award by ABODA. Symphonic Band performed for the inaugural CUSD Secondary Band Day.

    Perry Orchestra: Four Perry Orchestra students successfully auditioned for and participated in the Southwest Regional Orchestra. Two of those students made it into the Arizona All-State Orchestra held at the University of Arizona. Perry Chamber Orchestra received an "Excellent" rating at the ABODA Area adjudicated festival. Perry Orchestra students toured Washington D.C., performing at the Marine Museum and presenting a concert for American Military Veterans.

    CTE: Three HOSA Sports Medicine members at the International Leadership Conference. Two 1st Place finishers in FBLA Regional competitions in Digital Photography. Two Culinary students were awarded cash scholarships for a National cooking competition. PHS DECA Scholarship Program, Gold Certification for the Student Based Enterprise (Food) & Silver Certification for the Student Based Enterprise (Retail), 2 DECA Emerging Leaders and 27 Rise Sales & Service Certifications.

    STEM Diploma Program: (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Directed towards promoting the importance of high school achievement and the value of rigorous course work. A Stem Diploma and Stem Scholar Diploma are offered. Finalist in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, Super Bowl Host Committee-Top STEM schools in AZ and Expect More Arizona Spotlight STEM program.
