    Hello, and welcome to sixth grade here at Riggs Elementary. I look forward to the opportunity to play a part in your child's education this year. Please don't hesitate to call, e-mail, or swing by my class if ever you have a question for me.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a minor in Criminal Justice from Cal-State East Bay. I also have a California teaching Credential from Saint Mary's College and a Masters in Early Education from NAU.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that education is a process intended to improve life and to produce life long learners. In my classroom I will incorporate real-life curriculum with a problem-solving approach; students will be active participates in the learning process. As your child's teacher it is my job to provide a safe and fun-learning environment.
