    Welcome to 3rd/4th Grade CATS! I am excited to be your child's teacher this year, and look forward to having another fantastic year here at Ryan Elementary!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been an elementary school teacher since 2003. I joined Ryan Elementary and the Chandler Unified CATS program in 2007. Since then, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade, and even a 3rd/4th combo. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have also received my Gifted Endorsement.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I feel that we only see the surface of what a child is able to accomplish. My job is to go below the surface to find all of the other amazing things that will help the child become a successful, confident person. Also, academics are just one way of reaching that goal. Students need to be well-rounded and have their social/emotional needs reached as well as their academic. Hopefully, when they leave my classroom they will love themselves as well as love learning!
