    Welcome!

    Welcome to sixth grade! This is the last and best year of Elementary School! We have many exciting opportunities and learning experiences to enjoy together. My hope is that you read some memorable books, enjoy walking through the history of the world and spend time with friends playing and laughing. Have a wonderful year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I grew up in Canada and immigrated to the United States after receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Education. This year is my 31st year as a teacher in Arizona. I hold a Master's degree in Human Relations, Reading Specialist Endorsement and I am a certified ELA Middle School teacher. My husband and I have two children and a dog, Jack, Abby and Buddy. In my sparetime I enjoy reading, running, and advocating for public education. I believe public schools are the foundation of a strong community.   

    My Educational Philosophy

    My philosophy in the classroom is simple. Be prepared to learn; offer empathy and kindness towards others; laugh and enjoy the journey.
